Spain has removed all Covid restrictions on visitors from non-EU countries, meaning that British visitors no longer need to display a Covid vaccination certificate, proof of recovery or negative test result.
Restrictions had already been lifted for EU visitors for some time, but British arrivals at Spanish airports were occasionally taken aside to control points and asked for these documents.
These checks will no longer take place after Spain issued a law lifting all such restrictions on arrivals “from countries outside the EU”. The law was published earlier this week and came into effect today.
Spain took the decision to lift all restrictions based on “ the evolution of the pandemic at a global level and the epidemiological situation in Spain”, as well as to favour the normalisation of international mobility.
