The students mainly from nursery and primary school, and to a lesser extent from secondary and high school. Tenerife South Airport also welcomed students from the Erasmus+ program of IES La Laboral, from Brest (France), during one of the visits.

During their visits, students take a tour of the airport terminal and other facilities to learn about the work carried out by different teams such as the Fauna Control Service or the Rescue and Firefighting Service (SSEI). At La Palma Airport, they also visit various facilities related to energy saving, such as the solar panels installed on the roof, the wind turbines and the power plant. In this way, the aim is to raise awareness among future generations about the importance of environmental care and sustainability.

These visits are organized within the framework of Aena’s social commitment to the community and allow participants to get to know the airports better and at first hand, as well as their main characteristics and most representative facilities.
