Spain’s Association of Family Doctors has called for the re-introduction of face mask use in health centres following a recent rise in Covid infections.
The figure of 908 infections per 100,000 has been accompanied by an increase in flu cases, although the doctors claim that simultaneous infections are rare.
They fear that cases may rise further following Three Kings Day and the return to school next week, and have called for face masks to be made compulsory in health centres.
The doctors have also urged the public to be conscientious and use health centres responsibly, when suffering a serious problem.
