Bus seat set on fire in Puerto del Carmen

A passenger set fire to one of the seats on a bus in Puerto del Carmen last Saturday which led to the bus being evacuated.

According to La Voz de Lanzarote, one of the seats on an interurban bus in Puerto del Carmen was set on fire by an unknown person last Saturday night.

At approximately 7:30pm, the bus was travelling along Calle Reina Sofia when the driver suddenly noticed the smell of something burning on the bus.

After locating the source, the driver found that one of the seats had been set on fire and quickly extinguished it before evacuating all the passengers.

The perpetrator couldn’t be identified at the time as the bus was carrying a number of passengers.
