The Arrecife Ayuntamiento have planted 12,000 poinsettias in the neighbourhoods of the capital.
As with every festive period, most Ayuntamiento’s on Lanzarote will begin to plant poinsettias around their municipalities. The Arrecife Ayuntamiento have started to plant 12,000 poinsettias this week across the capital.
“We want to beautify the city even more, and at this Christmas time it is customary for the Ayuntamiento to plant different poinsettias around the municipality”, the Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, stated.
Municipal workers began planting on Wednesday, December 7th.
“We will go everywhere, so that all the people of Arrecife can enjoy the beautiful sight of the poinsettias”, added the Ayuntamiento’s Councillor for Parks and Gardens, David Toledo.
