The chiringuito (beach bar) overlooking Playa La Garita in Arrieta was dismantled this Thursday.
The bar, which has been open for thirty years, and had been a popular gathering place for locals and tourists, was closed after the owner of the concession decided to retire, dismissing all staff.
It is now in the hands of Haría Ayuntamiento whether to replace the kiosk and hold a tender to operate it.
