Two men have been arrested by the Guardia Civil for charging over one thousand young people for tickets to Christmas parties that never took place.

Two men aged 32 and 42 have been arrested by police after charging young people for tickets to parties that never took place. The parties were scheduled for the 24th and 31st of December last year, titled “VEINTI4” and “FIRST”.

The Guardia Civil were made aware of the charges after a number of ticket holders reported that they had not received a refund for their ticket (prices ranged between 40-50 euros a ticket) after the events were cancelled at the last minute.

After the events were cancelled, the men claimed that they would return the ticket fees to those who had purchased them (over one thousand young people), however, the victims have heard nothing from the pair since.

During the investigation, they had discovered that the two men did not have a company, location, event personnel, music, lighting, drinks or food to carry out the event that they had promoted on the internet.

The pair are now awaiting the following legal procedures in court.
