Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Perez, along with the Arrecife Ayuntamiento has begun to undertake the transformation of the capital’s seafront, starting with the comprehensive remodelling of Calle El Greco and Calle Valencia.

With an execution period of 4 months, the company Lanzagrava SL started to undertake the remodelling this month. The works includes the renovation of pavements, installation of public lighting, irrigation and rainwater network and the placement of new road signs.

“Despite all of the setbacks of the pandemic and the economic crisis which came as a result, and the rising fuel and energy prices, we are satisfied with the projects finally becoming a reality this year”, Astrid Perez stated.

In addition to the remodelling, the Ayuntamiento’s project also includes reducing the area’s speed limit to a maximum of 20km/h.
