44-year-old cleaner arrested for stealing from holiday homes in Lanzarote

A 44-year-old cleaning woman has been arrested for stealing jewellery from holiday homes where she had been working.

National Police officers started the investigation after discovering that several pieces of jewellery worth thousands of Euros had been sold to gold-buying shops in Arrecife.

After her arrest, the suspect confessed that she had carried out robberies at villas occupied by wealthy tourists, where she had been hired to work. Police recovered stolen items including four gold bracelets, four gold rings and one silver ring, three gold chains and one silver ring, and two gold pendants.
