Local Produce Takes Centre Stage at Puerto Calero’s Newest Gastrobar

With just days to go before opening, Ajaxes Gastrobar is preparing to introduce a menu inspired by Lanzarote’s finest ingredients alongside a carefully selected range of wines, beers and cocktails.

As Lanzarote continues to build its reputation as a destination for quality food and drink, a new restaurant opening in Puerto Calero aims to place island produce firmly at the heart of the dining experience.

Ajaxes Gastrobar will welcome its first guests on Saturday, 18 July, bringing a contemporary gastrobar concept to the first floor of Puerto Calero Plaza.

The kitchen has been designed around locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, with fresh fish, island meats, cheeses and seasonal vegetables forming the basis of dishes that range from simple favourites to more inventive creations. The menu also includes a selection of international classics, giving diners plenty of choice whether they’re seeking familiar flavours or something a little different.

To accompany the food, guests can choose from Lanzarote wines, craft beers, cocktails and premium spirits, creating a relaxed setting for everything from a leisurely lunch to an evening out.

The new venue has been designed with flexibility in mind, combining stylish indoor dining with outdoor terrace seating that makes the most of Puerto Calero’s surroundings. Whether stopping for breakfast, meeting friends during the day or settling in for dinner, the restaurant aims to provide a comfortable setting throughout the day.
