Tías Ayuntamiento will choose between two companies to provide Christmas lighting for the whole municipality.
The tender to provide lights has received bids from Imesapi and Porgesa, and Tías will choose the winner before the end of the month. A sum of €150,000 will be spent on the illuminations, and infrastructure to mount them will commence in autumn.
The lights are usually turned on around the 10th December and stay up until Threee Kings Day on January 5th.
