The Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife performed nearly 10,000 surgeries this year.
The hospital’s surgical team have performed over 9,000 surgeries this year. Of the surgeries performed this year, 2,309 correspond to general surgery, 1,724 correspond to ophthalmology, 1,241 correspond to dermatology, and 1,078 correspond to traumatology, as well as others.
Just over 12% of surgeries were performed as emergency procedures, while 60% were scheduled appointments.
