A band new music festival will take place in the old town harbour of Puerto del Carmen from the end of next week.
The Sunset Festival is a project by the Business Federations of Lanzarote and Las Palmas, and is funded by the Canarian Government. The idea is to present several free concerts that will boost business in the zone.
The first concert will take place next Thursday, 6th October at 9pm, when the performers Cantadores, Tamara, Shaila Durcal and Diana Navarro will perform at the Plaza del Varadero in a televised gala special for the International Day of Tourism. On the following night, Friday 7th, Coldplay tribute band Paradise will perform at the Plaza del Varadero at 9pm.*
On Monday 10th, Salvapantallas will perform, and at 9pm on Tuesday 11th the festival will come to a climax with a concert by one of Spain’s favourite pop groups, La Oreja de Van Gogh.
