The Arrecife Ayuntamiento have called for tenders for the refurbishment of the Las Salinas municipal sports centre budgeted at 174,738 euros.

The Mayor of Arreicfe, Astrid Pérez, has called for tenders for the refurbishment of the Las Salinas municipal sports centre. Interested companies will have until 1pm on August 8th to submit their bids and they’ll have a budget of 174,738 euros.
Refurbishments will include the resurfacing of the football pitch and recreation area, installation of sufficient seating for the football pitch and paddle courts, the installation of shaded areas, the improvement of fencing/netting around the pitches, the installation of baskets for basketball practise and the improvement of lighting.
Pérez points out that the project “is in addition to the numerous actions already carried out or that we are undertaking to improve sports facilities in the municipality.”.
The Ayuntamiento’s Sports Councillor, Rosmen Quevedo, added that with this new project “we cover all those people looking for a place to play sport… What Arrecife needs is to improve the courts where any parent can go to play with their children.”.
The project will also see the installation of a rainwater drainage system so that puddles don’t form on the pitches in the event of rain.
