Yesterday a fire broke out at around 10pm in a carpentry workshop in Arrecife.
Firefighters were called to a fire last night on calle Perú in Arrecife. At approximately 10pm last night a fire had broken out in a carpentry shop – firefighters arrived to find the building on fire with black smoke billowing out.
The emergency services evaluated the situation, cut off the electricity supply and upon finding a large pile of wood on fire decided to use the water jets to extinguish the fire. They cleared the smoke after with a large fan.
ENDESA was told to reconnect the electricity to the building after it had been extinguished as the emergency services completed the job.
