This week the Cabildo president and Public Works councillor took a tour of the new Civic Centre and football pitch in Costa Teguise – a project which the Cabildo has invested more than 1.8 million euros.
Cabildo President, Maria Dolores Corujo, knows the value that a Civic Centre will bring to Costa Teguise. A place where citizens will be able to enjoy a host of activities and events for hundreds of people.
“We are delighted that this project is a reality of the municipality. We have tried to create a space with multiple functions, spacious, modern, sustainable, and environmentally friendly”, Corujo added.
The newly renovated football pitch will have multi-sports courts, changing rooms, weight rooms, bleachers, toilets, a cafeteria, meeting rooms, storage rooms and other facilities.
Public Works councillor, Alfredo Mendoza, added “the municipality’s sports will benefit significantly from these new facilities, especially the children. The population of the town has increased considerably, which made it essential to adapt the infrastructure to the needs of the citizens.”.
