Yellow alerts for high winds have been issued for Lanzarote today and tomorrow.
The alerts are in place from 9am to 6pm today and from 8 am to 8 pm tomorrow. Winds from the south-east are expected to reach between 60 and 90 kph and will mainly affect inland areas, as well as higher ground in the north and west of the island. The hours around midday will see the strongest winds today.
A yellow alert is the lowest level of warning, and advises citizens to be aware of conditions and remain informed.
