Yellow wind alert on Lanzarote

Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has issued a yellow wind alert for today and most of tomorrow.

The alert is in place from midday today, Wednesday 23^rd until 6 pm tomorrow, Thursday 24^th. Maximum gusts of 70 kph could be experienced in inland areas and elevated parts of the south-east. The wind will be at its strongest overnight.   

Temperatures will continue to be a little cooler than expected for late July, with maximums of 27 degrees Celsius, and there is a low possibility of light rainfall. This afternoon is predicted to be clear and sunny.
