AEMET has issued a yellow warning for rough seas on Lanzarote which will come into effect from 10 am to midnight tomorrow (Thursday 13th March).

The warning forecasts high seas of 4 to 5 metres on the north and north-west coasts of the island, with the added caution that waves of over 5 metres could be experienced.

As usual, citizens are advised to take care and avoid piers and rocky or exposed coastlines in the north

Thursday is also likely to be windy all over the island, with westerly winds of up to 40 kph forecast. AEMET is currently predicting an 85% probability of rain for Thursday afternoon, although the absence of a rain warning indicates it is likely to be light and sporadic.
