Spain’s weather agency AEMET has issued a yellow alert for rough seas applying to Lanzarote.
The alert begins at 8 pm this evening (Wed 3rd December) and ends at 11.59 pm tomorrow (4th December). Waves of up to 4 metres are expected offshore and high tide at midday tomorrow could bring waves of 3 metres to shore, with a long wave period of 16 seconds.
The Canarian Government has also issued a pre-alert for rough seas, meaning that people should take extra care near the sea.
Apart from that, coolish weather is predicted until the weekend, with clouds, bright sunny intervals, strong breezes and temperatures ranging from 15 to 21 degrees Celsius.
