Yaiza pylon project starts

The project to install high-tension electricity pylons linking Macher and Playa Blanca has started, Yaiza Ayuntamiento has confirmed.

The controversial project initially proposed that 53 pylons measuring between 29 and 50 metres in height would be erected on a 17-kilometre stretch that would include Femes and the Ajaches Natural Park area.
