The Yaiza President, Oscar Noda, along with Ayuntamiento representatives, is arrived at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid this Wednesday to promote the municipality.
At this year’s FITUR event, the Yaiza Ayuntamiento have chosen to display a play written and directed by Salvador Leal and performed by three actors from the municipality: César Rijo and the brothers Cathaysa and Octavio González.
With the help of video imagery, the three actors explained the history of the municipality dressed in traditional Canarian clothing.
“Yaiza is committed to culture and at FITUR this year, we decided to bring an unprecedented display because we are convinced that it is an excellent way to promote our strengths, bearing in mind that we are a municipality renowned for its history”, stated the mayor.
Yaiza’s Tourism Councillor, Ángel Domínguez, stressed that “the audio-visual display helps the story and enriches the message that we wanted to convey. Beaches, culture, and sport are also signs of our identity.”
The Ayuntamiento presented two shows at FITUR, the first at the AMTC stand (the Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Canary Islands), while the second show took place at the CICAR-Cabrera Medina stand.
