Canarias7 reports that Yaiza Council hopes to resume work on Playa Blanca’s sports pavilion shortly, with the possibility that it may open in the second half of 2026.
The council claims to have reached an agreement with the construction company Levantina Ingeniería y Construcción, which has gone bankrupt. Once this has been settled, a tender can be issued for the completion of works, with the hopes that a contract will be awarded by this autumn.
Work still to be sone involves the air-conditioning system in the centre and the building of several outdoor courts, leisure areas and a children’s playground.
