Women hit by car at Open Mall in Arrecife

A woman has been injured after being hit by a vehicle at Arrecife’s Open Mall shopping centre.

The 52-year-old woman suffered bruising after being hit by a white van near the parking area of the centre at 11 am on Friday.

According to a witness, she was using a pedestrian crossing at the time, and the driver got out of his car to say he hadn’t seen her, before driving away.

Police say the women’s injuries are not serious and are seeking the vehicle.
