Woman Seriously Injured After Car Overturns in Tías

A woman was seriously injured on Monday after the car she was driving overturned at the junction of the LZ-501 and LZ-502 roads in Tías.

Emergency services were alerted at approximately 2:29pm. after receiving reports that a vehicle had overturned at the intersection.

Emergency services dispatched ambulances along with firefighters and officers from the Guardia Civil.

The vehicle had left the road and come to rest in a nearby field. Firefighters secured the scene and rescued the driver, who was trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

Paramedics treated the woman for multiple serious injuries before stabilising her and transporting her by advanced life support ambulance to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.

The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation and prepared the official accident report.
