A 40-year-old woman has been taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife after being hit by a car on the Avenida El Mar in Costa Teguise.
At approximately 10am, the emergency services received an alert to the Avenida El Mar where a woman had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, the fire fighters and ambulance staff assessed the woman and determined that she had suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident. She was stabilised in the ambulance and later taken to the main hospital in Arrecife for further treatment.
