Van catches fire on LZ-20 near San Bartolomé

A van burst into flames on the LZ20 road between Arrecife and San Bartolomé yesterday afternoon, with firefighters extinguishing the blaze.

The incident was reported at 5.18 pm near the site of Lanzarote Karting. Two occupants of the vehicle managed to get out in time and did not require medical treatment.

Firefighters put out the fire, which severely damaged the engine and frontal part of the van, with water.
