Canal Gestión Lanzarote have announced that they will take measures following the withdrawal of the water supply contract, which was finalised by the Lazante Water Consortium last week.
The company states that “there are no grounds that justify this measure, nor have the procedural and legal guarantees been fully respected”.
Canal Gestión also claims that its expulsion from administrative facilities last Tuesday was “hasty and disproportionate” and did not give them time to carry out essential tasks such as inventory verification, checking the condition of the assets, or properly organizing the operational transition.
The response is not unexpected, given that Canal Gestión have earlier threatened to fight the contract termination legally.
