U.S. Yaiza relegated after recent draw

Unión Sur Yaiza will return to the Third Federation next season after yesterday’s scoreless draw against Tenerife’s B team.

The result confirmed relegation for the southern team, whose first season in the Second Federation began brightly but soon turned into a gruelling battle for survival, with exhausting fortnightly journeys to Madrid, rural Spain and even North Africa.  

Yaiza will once again compete in Group 12 of the Third Federation, facing Canarian sides including local rivals San Bartolomé and, barring a miracle, UD Lanzarote.
