Two rubbish containers set on fire in Puerto del Carmen

Last night, fire fighters were called to Calle La Graciosa in Puerto del Carmen after reports of two rubbish container fires.

At approximately 9pm last night, emergency services were alerted to Calle La Graciosa after a report that someone had set a pair of nearby bins on fire.

Upon arrival, fire fighters found that two containers had been destroyed by the flames and that a nearby vehicle was affected by the fire.

Both fires were safely extinguished, however, the damage was done, and these containers will now need to be replaced.

Last week, a 42-year-old man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of 30+ fires in Arrecife. Despite mulitple arrests in recent years, the fires persist.
