Two injured in boat fire in Puerto Calero

Two men in their 40s suffered moderate burns in a boat fire in Puerto Calero last night.

At approximately 8:20pm, the emergency services were called to Puerto Calero after a fire broke out in the engine room of a boat.

Salvamento Maritimo were deployed to arrive at the boat and help the passengers. Once brought to land the two men were assessed by ambulance staff. They were both taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife to be treated for moderate burns.
