Fire fighters rescued a small podenco that was trapped on the Famara cliffs this Sunday.
At approximately 11:30am on Sunday morning, a resident alerted the emergency services to a dog that had stumbled off the Famara cliffs and become trapped with no way of getting back to the cliff edge.
Upon arrival, the fire fighters used their immense skill and training to rescue the small podenco from the cliff. The team descended the cliff with the use of ropes, attached a harness to the dog to pull it back to the cliff edge.
The fire fighters assessed the podenco for any injuries but found none.
