The CACT have recently published the technical and administrative specifications for the tender for supplying seven zero-emission vehicles in Lanzarote’s tourist centres.
With a budget of over 300,000 euros, the tender includes the acquisition of a 9-seater vehicle which will be used in Timanfaya, a 5-seater vehicle for the central office, three vans with the capacity to carry 3 passengers and cargo and, finally, two other vans to transport 2-3 passengers. All must be zero emissions.
CACT CEO, Benjamin Perdomo, stated “our ecosystems demand tangible and urgent actions. We must act now to guarantee a habitable future for the planet.”.
The supply of each vehicle set must be completed within a maximum of six months. At the time of delivery, the vehicles must be registered with documentation.
The initiative is part of a project that the tourist centres are developing to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and their carbon footprint.
