The celebrations in El Golfo begin this Friday, 16th October, with a second-hand fashion show, followed by beach clean-ups, sporting events and family activities, culminating in the La Pardela Gala on Saturday, 24th October.
Residents and visitors are invited to join the celebrations, which will include activities for children, sporting competitions and community events. One of the main attractions will be the La Pardela Gala on Saturday, October 24th, when beauty queens take to the runway for a show featuring satire and humour.
The programme begins on Friday, October 16th, at 6pm with a fashion show showcasing second-hand clothing and accessories given a new lease of life by amateur designers and models from the town.
On Saturday, October 17th, volunteers will be able to take part in an environmental beach clean-up organised in collaboration with Viva Blue Diving. Those wishing to participate can register by sending a WhatsApp message to 620281900.
Sport will also feature in the day’s programme, with the traditional indoor football tournament taking place alongside a large gymkhana for children in the afternoon.
Sunday, October 18th, will bring a boat parade featuring a piñata, followed by music, a water festival and a community barbecue.
The festivities will continue throughout the following week, culminating in the La Pardela Gala on Saturday, October 24th.
