Tias Christmas Events Programme 2024

Tias Ayuntamiento have published this year’s Christmas events programme. Here it is in English.

DECEMBER 2024

Thursday 5th 7pm – Inauguration of the Puerto del Carmen Nativity scene. Performance by the San Bartolomé Municipal Polyphonic Choir. Outside the church of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, old town PDC

Saturday 7th 5pm – Ping-pong tournament for ages 12+. Prior registration required. Tías Youth Space. Plaza El Pavón.

Tuesday 10th 6pm – “Elf”, children’s show by The Lanzarote Theatre School. Tías Municipal Theatre.

8.30pm – Performance by the musical group El Pavón. Avenida de las Playas. Playa Grande.

Wednesday 11th 6pm – “Elf”, children’s show by The Lanzarote Theatre School. Tías Municipal Theatre.

Thursday 12th 4.30pm – Opening of the Christmas Crafts Exhibition. Plaza de las Naciones, Puerto del Carmen.

7.30pm – Performance by the cultural association Acatife. Plaza de las Naciones.

Saturday 14th 5pm – 3X3 basketball tournament for ages 12+ with prior registration. Tías Youth Space.

Saturday 14th 7pm – Christmas Festival of the Beatrice Senent Dance School. Tías Municipal Theatre. Entry: €5 to benefit Social Welfare and Family. www.ecoentradas.com

7.30pm – Performance by A.M.C. El Cercado (Rafees group) at the Christmas Crafts Show. Plaza de las Naciones.

6pm – Performance by the Son del Norte group at the Christmas Crafts Show. Plaza de las Naciones.

7.30pm – Performance by the folk group Rubicón at the Christmas Crafts Show. Plaza de las Naciones.

Thursday 19th 5pm – Arrival of Santa Claus to the municipality. Ulpiano Rodríguez Pérez wrestling arena, Tías.

Friday 20th 5pm – Foosball tournament for ages 12 +. Prior registration required. Tías Youth Space.

Saturday 21st 5pm – Billiards tournament. Tías Youth Space.

8pm – 21st Solidarity Tree (toy collection). Organized by the Guágaro cultural association. Tías Municipal Theatre.

Sunday 22nd 4.30pm and 7.15pm – “Emily’s First Christmas”. Musical by the Tania Marcer Performing Arts School. Tickets 8 € www. ecoentradas.com. Tías Municipal Theatre.

Monday 23rd 8pm – Gathering of Ranchos de Pascuas from Yaiza, Mácher and Tías. La Candelaria Church.

Wednesday 25th 7pm – Christmas Mass in the church of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, old town PDC. 8 pm Marina de Puerto del Carmen Choir.

Friday 27th 5pm – Fifa tournament for ages 12+. Prior registration required. Espacio Joven de Tías.

Saturday 28th 5.30pm – Christmas race in Puerto del Carmen. Plaza de las Naciones.

8pm – Trophy presentation and DJ party for ages 12+ with prior registration. Espacio Joven de Tías. Plaza El Pavón.

Monday 30th 8pm – JVP Quartet performance. Teatro Municipal de Tías.

Tuesday 31st 11.30pm – New Year’s Eve party with DJ Ángel Pérez and the Los Conejeros quartet. Plaza El Varadero. Puerto del Carmen.

JANUARY 2025

Wednesday 1st 1am – Fireworks on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.

Friday 3rd 7pm – Performance by the cultural association Músicos del Volcán. Tías Municipal Theatre.

Sunday 5 11.30am – Arrival of Their Majesties the Three Kings from the Orient to the Puerto del Carmen dock. Parade down Calle Teide to Calle Los Afrechos. Children’s letters will be collected in Plaza del Varadero.

6pm – Parade of the Three Kings in Tías from the roundabout at the intersection of Calle Pérez Galdós passing through Avenida Central Alcalde Florencio Suárez and Calle Libertad. Children’s letters will be collected at the Francisco Bermúdez Hernández Football Field.
