Tías Ayuntamiento has asked residents not to dispose of building rubble in normal rubbish containers.
Waste Management Councillor Carmen Gloria Rodríguez said that chunks of building rubble had caused damage to containers, as well as the vehicles that collect the rubbish in the municipality,
She suggested that if residents could not be “responsible and civic-minded”, fines could be issued.
Building rubble should be disposed of at the Punto Limpio in Tías, on the other side of the roundabout leading to the golf club at Puerto del Carmen.
