Three Lanzarote wines awarded at Decanter World Wine Awards

Bodegas El Grifo and Bodegas Vega de Yuco have both received awards at the 2024 Decanter World Wine Awards that was recently held in London.

Now in its 21st year, Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) has firmly established itself as the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. Respected globally for its rigorous judging process and world-class judges, DWWA results are trusted internationally by both trade and consumers.

This year’s edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards was held earlier this month in London. This year over 18,000 wines from 57 different countries were evaluated by a panel of judges, master sommeliers and other well-respected figures in the wine industry.

At the event three Lanzarote wines were awarded – a gold medal for Bodegas El Grifo’s “Malvasía Seco Colección 2023” and two silver medals for Vega de Yuco’s “Esencia Yaiza” and “Vega de Yuco” wines.
