The Cabildo have announced that the upcoming pilgrimage to Mancha Blanca, on September 10th, will be supervised by more than 150 personnel including security, health, technical and volunteer staff, to ensure a day with no incidents.
Next month, from the 9th until the 15th, the Mancha Blanca Crafts Fair will exhibit creations from local artists and those from the other islands. It is one of the biggest events on the island.
What does the fair offer?
The main attraction for visitors is the immense range of crafts on display, ranging from traditional Canarian activities such as basket-making, to more modern stalls, such as those selling recycled objects.
On the 10th of September the pilgrimage to Mancha Blanca in honour of the Virgin de Los Dolores, patron saint of the island, will take place.
The Cabildo have announced the event will require more than 150 security, health, technical and volunteer personnel to ensure a smooth-running day with no incidents.
President of the Security & Emergency Consortium, Marcos Bergaz, stated that “the coordination of the administrations is essential for the island and for an event such as this to run smoothly, on a festive day of faith that brings people together.”.
