Teguise Ayuntamiento are already preparing for this year’s Noche Blanca celebrations and has announced that it will take place on June 27th.

This year’s Noche Blanca celebrations will take place on Friday, June 27th, as confirmed by Teguise Ayuntamiento. The events programme is expected to be announced sometime in June.

Teguise Ayuntamiento are already preparing for it. Mayor, Olivia Duque, emphasises that this year’s Noche Blanca celebration will feature more activities than ever, across eleven locations in Teguise, “We want to offer, both residents and visitors, a day full of concerts, workshops, shows and exhibitions, ensuring that culture, gastronomy, commercial activities and children’s proposals are present in every corner of our historic centre”, Duque said.

Duque also thanks “the collaboration of entities, partners and municipal staff, especially the Cabildo and the Canarian Government, whose support has been essential for the realization of the event.”

WHAT IS NOCHE BLANCA?

The “White Night” is relatively recent initiative in Teguise. Started in 2011, this is purely an initiative to help local businesses. It does that by opening the town for business, with food, drink music and plenty of activity.

Those who attend are requested to wear white for the evening, although this is by no means compulsory.

On the day you can expect to find activities across the town of Teguise with dance shows, concerts, traditional Canarian games, art exhibitions, DJ sets, workshops and, of course, plenty of places to get food and drink.

There’ll be activities in each of the squares starting from noon and running until past midnight.

For transport, last year a special bus service was set up to transport visitors to and from the event and there will be the same special service this year, which we will publicise once announced.
