Suicide at Famara cliffs

A woman committed suicide by driving her car off the Famara cliffs on Saturday morning.

Emergency services were notified at 9.14 in the morning, and, upon arrival, they discovered the vehicle in the Barranco de Maramajo, northeast of Los Valles. Nearby they found the body of the victim, with injuries incompatible with life.

Firemen removed the body to a secure location until the coroner’s arrival and then cleared up the wreckage of the vehicle.
