Lanzarote yesterday welcomed Spanish and Portuguese government ministers as the island hosted the 34th Spanish-Portuguese Summit.
Spain President Pedro Sánchez officially welcomed Portuguese President Antonio Costa to the island at the Jameos del Agua, before he and nine other Spanish Ministers, from the departments of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Transport, Education, Culture, Health and Universities, engaged in dialogue with their Portuguese opposite numbers.
Sánchez has already met Costa yesterday at the Tías home of the late Nobel Prize Lauraeate Josdé Saramago, who left Portugal for Lanzarote in 1991.
