A person has been arrested and charged with a crime against wildlife after catching an angel shark, taking it home and killing it.
The incident occurred in December 2020, when videos showing the catching and killing of the fish, a protected species, were posted on a social media platform.
An investigation was launched and resulted in one person being identified and arrested while fishing near the Castillo de San José in Arrecife.
