Spain’s Education Ministry is proposing to ban the use of mobile phones in classrooms.
The proposal includes a complete ban on phone use in primary schools, and a restriction in secondary schools for use “only when required by the teacher for a project.”
Education Minister Pilar Alegría announced the plan yesterday and said she would consult with regional governments. However, she claimed that initial responses from regional Education Ministers had been unanimously positive.
