A rainshower early this morning has caused the road from Arrecife to San Bartolomé to be temporarily closed, affecting traffic heading from the capital to the hilltop town.
The rain apparently dislodged soil and rocks onto the right-hand side of the dual carriageway, causing a hazard. Firemen are cleaning the zone and estimate the work will take “ a few hours”.
