The footpath connecting the Playa de la Arena in Arrecife to the port area will be renovated at a a cost of 424,000 Euros.
Playa de la Arena is a beach just around the corner from IKEA in Arrecife, and marks the only point where the lava eruptions of 300 years ago reached the southern coast of the island. It’s a lively beach usually used by locals rather than tourists.
Among the changes will be more lighting in the area and the installation of a shower. The renovations will be undertaken on the stretch of path from Castillo de San José to the Marmoles commercial port area.
