BIG DAY OUT

Dear Editor,

Thanks for posting up details of the Agricultural Fair at Teguise in June on your website.

We had no idea such an event was taking place until we saw it on your Facebook page, but it turned out to be one of the best days out we’ve ever had on Lanzarote.

We enjoyed seeing the horses, goats and sheep, learnt about farming, watched some Canarian wrestling and ate some delicious food, and our two children are still talking about it.

Thanks,

The Osbornes

LOVELOCK MOANERS

Dear Gazette,

I was upset to see the council had removed hundreds of the love locks that have been placed on the chain fences overlooking Playa Flamingo in Playa Blanca.

First, do they not know that this will probably ruin every single one of the relationships that the little padlocks were guarding? Secondly, if they remove them all, what will the miserable snobs who love to complain about them moan about?

Leave them be.

Yours,

Dave

GAZETTES, PLEASE!

Dear Gazette,

My name is Ian Jenkins. My wife and I live in the UK and travel to Lanzarote twice a year for approximately 8 weeks.

We have been coming to your island for the last 40 years and until recently had a property at Las Brisas Playa Blanca. We absolutely love your publication as it is both entertaining and enlightening but we have to wait until we are there to catch up on the information relating to Lanzarote.

How can I go about obtaining your monthly publications? It gives us a real insight into the island, that we consider to be as much our home as the UK.

Kind regards,

Ian and Penny Jenkins
