Spain’s weather agency AEMET warns that the possibility of scattered showers remains for the rest of Friday.
The island remains under a pre-alert for rain, although many areas woke to bright sunshine after a night which brought flurries of rain and wind.
The outlook for the weekend is much better, with only a small chance of rain and plenty of sunshine forecast for Sunday, although temperatures will dip by a couple of degrees.
