Puerto del Carmen’s carnival parade starts this afternoon

Puerto del Carmen is preparing for its big carnival parade, which will take place at 5pm this afternoon.

As usual the parade will gather at Barcarola Apartments and make its way along the seafront to Fariones. It will be led by the traditional carnival groups, such as Los Buches and the Diabletes and they’ll be followed by comparsas, murgas and batucadas (dancing, singing and drumming groups).

At the moment, Spain’s weather agency AEMET is predicting a 0-5% probability of rain for Tías this afternoon, although fresh winds of up to 35 kph are forecast.
