Puerto del Carmen hoists its Blue Flags

Tías Ayuntamiento have raised three Blue Flags on beaches in Puerto del Carmen this week.

Puerto del Carmen was recently awarded with three Blue Flags for Playa Matagorda, Playa de los Pocillos and Playa Chica, however, Playa Grande missed out for the first time in several years which caused opposition councillors to accuse the mayor of neglect.

Mayor, José Juan Cruz, attended the hoisting of one of the Blue Flag beaches this week along with councillors Nicolás Saavedra and Christopher Notario.

Notario stated that “we will continue working so that the beaches of Puerto del Carmen and La Tiñosa continue to present good environmental conditions”.
