Prisoner escapes during talk at local school

A prisoner from Tahiche jail escaped yesterday while on release to give a talk at a local school.

The prisoner, who was part of the prison’s Educational Therapy Unit, took advantage of an outing to address a local school to make a run for it.

The ACAIP, a prison guards association, reported the news and claimed their members could do nothing. They called for greater human resources.
